William Cryer, 40, was charged with unarmed robbery following the alleged hold-up of a Worcester 7-Eleven, police said.

Worcester police responded to the 409 Park Ave. store around 11 a.m. after the clerk pressed the hold-up alarm. Witnesses said a man walked behind the counter, stole cigarettes, and demanded cash before shoving the clerk and running away.

Police put out a description of the suspect, and officers spotted Cryer — who matched it — walking down Park Avenue. They arrested him after a brief investigation.
